Breakthrough in 3D scanning means results are 4500% more accurate 28 June 2021. Scientists have created a new method for increasing the precision of 3D body scans by 4500%. Researchers from Loughborough University and the University of Manchester have written a free algorithm that can be used with any scanning machine. The two universities have a very long history in 3D Optical Camera technology especially in body scans for the textile industry. This research , which is applicable in other arrears, provides a serious breakthrough in these other applications especially in ergonometrics, avatars, health & fitness and education (career assessments and forecasting).
